Hi Woodsie,
I hear Cool Britannia is opening up again. Quite the opposite to down here in wintery old Oz...
I've been using this ever expanding incarceration to try and teach this old dog new tricks. I'm finally making a fist of 3D Modelling and Printing. Oh boy, it's hard work, for an old fella used to carving a lump of balsa wood with a razor blade!
Here's a pic of one of my current efforts -a breakfast cereal premium that I never had as a child! Now all I have do do is print it out, which is another story in difficulty just in itself!
SEE JANE FLY, SEE JANE (SPACE) WALK...
On a similar note, I decided my Marx Jane Apollo needed some proper straps for her backpack, rather than the nasty polythene lumps that came with it!
I thought some laser cut buckles (to simulate those stamped brass ones Action Man used to have) and some ribbon would do the job nicely.
Oh Boy! Threading those buckles and linking them to the central lock with the Marx logo proved to be one of the most fiddly jobs I have ever attempted!
Funny how the seemingly simple stuff can trip you up!
Anyway, enjoy your freedom!

lovely work as ever Looey - Ive got a mark Apollo and the straps for the backpack are really naff. Still looking for a nice jane to keep him company! Your CAD ufo is fabulous, if 3d printing costs came down and quality improved for the hobbyist use, we could be churning out space toys like the sixties again. Keep us updated as to how the UFO turns out. Are you doing the top in transparent plastic ?
