Closest thing I had for many years was a Pez space pistol, in red, which shot out Pez candy, of course. Sold it for a pretty penny on eBay a couple of decades ago.
I've had quite a few squirt guns over the years. If it was shaped like a Mauser c96 pistol, odds are I had it. Still have my Entertech Rambo M16 and Tech 9 squirt guns. Both are non working as they were made into pieces for costuming. Sold off my Fiveman water cannon from Japan for a tidy profit many years back.
I also had some Space 1999 knock offs that barely looked like their inspiration but those were used for parts of guns for a film project called Televi-Man. Sadly the props were seriously damaged in moving years later and tossed.
It was the project of my roommate at the time and myself. We used to shoot stop motion films for fun. We had wrote 12 "episodes" of "Transistor d Robo" our spoof of anime robot shows and decided to take a shot at filming an episode but we quickly realized it was way out of our free time, budget/skills so instead looked for something more in align with our free time, skills/budget. We both loved the Sentai shows from Japan and decided to spoof them instead. This was our little silly tribute take on them. Shot on 16mm film with him handling the camera and trick shots while I created the weaponry, helped with the giant robot suit and other items as needed. I was Televi-black. Can't remember if it was later that same year or the next that Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers hit the airwaves.
Wow Lance! Superb stuff. Your cool film making efforts with your mate remind me of the friends who got together to make the vintage and wonderful monster film Equinox, which I believe Forry Ackerman even got involved with. Is your film available to see online or could we show it on MC?
