Just watched an episode of Columbo on TV like I did way back in the Seventies.
Wow! I'd forgotten how good they were. Peter Falk was a great Columbo! No wonder I loved the show as a kid!
Oh, and just one more thing .... !
Did you like Columbo?
Was there any merchandise I wonder?
I've got the dvd boxed set of the complete episodes. So - can you tell me who first played Columbo?
ReplyDeleteNope.
DeleteThere were two. The first was Bert Freed in a 1960 TV movie, and the second was Thomas Mitchell in a stage play in 1962. The part was first offered to Bing Crosby, though I'm unsure whether that was for the TV movie, the stage play, or the TV series.
DeleteFascinating Kid. Bing Crosby eh! can't imagine anyone other than Peter Falk being Columbo!
