I knew little about Lone Star's The Saint Luger die-cast Pistol until I saw it featured in the 1968 Lone Star catalogue listed in an old sale.
It's the one at the top on the right hand page with Captain Scarlet toy guns opposite.
Here's the section a little closer.
Looks like it came as a toy pistol and also in a separate gun and holster set.
Worthpoint's old auctions came up trumps again and provided me with this great picture of the lugar, together with its scope and spectacular silencer.
Searching old Worthpoint auctions I then found this nice image of a fully carded example. Its only now I see that the silencer is actually a short chubby attachment that's recessed along its neck so it can slide past the barrel sight.
Do you have a Saint toy pistol readers?
Captain Scarlet firearms - wowee wow!
