I'm re-posting this from 2009. I can't believe its 11 years ago and just a year after starting this blog.
This was my Project SWORD toy collection back then in an IKEA cabinet..
Looking back I'm amazed I had multiples of certain toys.
Sadly no more. These seconds and thirds were sold on my toy stall back then, which I was drawing to a close.
Looking at this I see a game called Tic Tac Toad to the left. Incredibly I've sold it today on Ebay! I'd forgotten it was even listed. Ebay re-list items 8 times automatically free of charge. I listed it weeks and weeks ago!
Some superb vintage boxed items locked away there, Woodsy! My own cabinet/collection seems in a state of minor transition. I often pick up items with a deliberate view to re-selling or trading. I enjoy that fun aspect of collecting. Having said that, I also have some treasured old toys which will stay with me for the duration :)
ReplyDeleteI read a quote today Tone, oddly enough in a forum discussing Jim Stevenson, from years ago, that we are simply borrowing old toys until someone else borrows them. It reminded me of time travel.
DeleteYep, we're only ever temporary custodians during our time here, Woodsy. I do thoroughly enjoy looking after these things for the new custodians in the future :)
