It looks fast and can as fast backwards as forwards but not close to the fastest tank. It has a hydraulic suspension that allows the tank to assume this posture to depress the gun, quite useful if on the other side of a hill. In driving mode the tank assumes a normal posture. The fence structure up front was actually a secret defense system that was only allowed to be attached during war. It is intended to defeat HEAT rounds. You see this quite commonly now days wrapped around many light combat vehicles.
