If it was Christmas it was the 2lb box of Terry's 1767 with it's three layers of assortment!
Chocolate covered nuts on the top, small chocolate bars on the second and an assortment of truffles etc on the bottom.
The holiday packaging made the selection look like an adults treasure trove.
Attached are pictures of the last holiday box I had from the early 90's. It has been used to store miscellaneous picture cards from then. Also shown is the all important contents chart.
Just picturing this box makes my mouth water for Terry's Spartan selection of hard centers.
All that remains now of Terry's is the Chocolate Orange once Kraft Foods destroyed the very British Terry's.

I miss the old names of manufacturers on chocolate. Rowntree's Kit-Kat, MacKintosh's Caramac, etc. At least Raspberry Ruffle bars still have Jameson's on them, even though they're now made by someone else.
ReplyDeleteAh, raspberry ruffle bars, one of my all-time faves Kid and one I snap up whenever I see them now. if only they would rerelease bar Six, Aztec and Amazin Raisin!
DeleteWhy did they stop making these
ReplyDeleteNot sure. Terry's itself ended in 2005 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terry%27s
DeleteIf you mean Ruffle Bars then you can get them at Home Bargains I think and also online at Amazon! https://www.amazon.co.uk/Jamesons-Raspberry-Ruffle-Bar-Pack/dp/B005CH57D6
