This year I was intrigued to find pictures of vintage Thunderbrds uniforms made in Spain on Todocollecion.
They were released in 1967.
An ideal birthday prezzie I thought! Well, at least the piccies!
The translated items details were:
Original 60's Thunderbirds Playset "Guardianes del Espacio-Uniforme" made in Spain by MA.FI.SA-Sabadell, 1967.
Size of the Box: cm. 45x36x14 (about 18"x14.5"x5.5").
So here it is, the terrific box and contents:
The same company MA FI SA also released a seperate Thunderbirds pistol and holster for the smaller budget I assume.
How these compare to UK Thunderbirds uniforms is worthy of further research if anyone fancies it!
What do you think of the Spanish uniforms?
Great find for the blog, Woodsy. I do like the uniform and the box art. Wonder if the other uniforms shown on the side of the box were released as well?
ReplyDeleteYeah, I wondered that too Tone. It would make a great collection! Trying to recall if I had a Thunderbirds uniform as a kid but can't!
DeleteAnd if all the uniforms were made in three different sizes as the example shown, it would make a whole lotta uniforms!
DeleteThe Thunderbirds merchandising empire was truly global!
ReplyDeleteI think tbey made the most of it in Japan. So much merchandise.
