In an attempt to watch something intelligent on the TV and get away from the UK General election blather I turned to You Tube and Quatermas' Ringstone Round starring John Mills.
I watched the whole series a couple of years ago and after some readjustment I loved it.
Just watched episode 1 again and now starting episode 2.
Anyone else seen it?
Watched it when it was first broadcast and quite enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteWhen was it on Kev? Saturday evenings?
DeleteOh crikey, now you're asking. I have kept a diary since 1979 so I'll have written it down somewhere but I'd have to do some digging. My gut reaction is weekday evening.
ReplyDeleteNo worries Kev, don't go to any trouble. Its interesting that it might have been a weekday and not Saturday or Sunday nights. I'm well impressed with your decades long diary!
DeleteI watched it in 1979 and sadly haven't seen it since, Woodsy. I think it may have been aired on Monday nights at 9pm... but my memory being what it is, I could be mistaken?
ReplyDeleteMonday nights eh Tone? That tallies with Kev's comment. It would have fitted the era really well I reckon in the late Seventies. It has a late Seventies feel doesn't it.
DeleteWatched it first time round and now have it on DVD. Thought it was absolutely brilliant.
ReplyDeleteIt should be shown again I think Bill do you? It reminds me of the quality of the later eco-drama series Edge of Darkness with Bob peck.
