Nice one Scoop! Two spot on! Have another go at 11 and remember that the SpaceX toy has a number on the end.
ReplyDeleteDoes it?. Mine just has NASA/Glider or Lifting Body written on the card, and Lifting Body written on the toy.
ReplyDeleteDo you mean the E1 in the corner of the card?
Is this another of those questions that has two answers and its what you were thinking of at the time?
ReplyDeleteThere's the Explorer MEV 2
That's it Scoop, MEV2. That's the only answer as its the only one with a number on the end. Nice one.

7 Apollo Moon Exploring by Imperial Toys
5 Aluminium baking trays from the Frisbie pie bakery that students used much as the eventual Frisbee disks. This was the most likely origin decribed in a very hefty and most thorough book on the subject that I once read. Just googled it, and it was by Stancil Johnson, a psychiatrist and Frisbee enthusiast. It includes history, frisbee types and games and was very funny as well. And I recall that Dr Johnson had tried to arrange that, upon his death, his ashes would be mixed with a certain colour of plastic to be turned into a limited re-issue of a certain type of Frisbee, to be distributed amongst his closest friends. Brilliant book!
(oh and, I would've gone for Nr 12, but either that question's not quite thought through, or Mr Woods has a deeper idea in mind that a lesser mortal like me can't fathom! :)
Best -- Paul
Great stuff Paul. All correctomundo! In light of my badly worded number 11 I have re-worded number 12 to make it clearer. Thanks for the heads up Paul.
ReplyDeleteNow it makes sense, Paul
ReplyDelete(no thanks needed, just glad it was "badly worded" instead of something that I -really- couldn't fathom!).
I've had my three so I'll leave it to somebody else.
