Here's a brainteaser for El Scoopo's birthday.

Using one letter change only for each new word, please get from the word Scoop to the word Sword in 5 steps i.e a new word each step just by changing one letter.

Just one new word per reader please, so four readers should do it! Make sure you have thought it through or else the next player may go wrong. If you think someone is wrong, say so.
