It's July so I'm chuffed to be able to post this. The second instalment of the real thing - the original SWORD comic strip that graced the pages of the UK's SOLO comic way back in the Summer of 1967, 1st July 1967, 43 years ago today. After purchasing Issue 19 ont 'Ebay earlier in the year and posting strip one, luckily I found Issue 20 in my boxes of comics, bought in the 1990's sometime, which I'd simply forgotten. Anyway, enjoy it and watch out for the reference to 'Operation Sword' in the bottom border at the end. In those early days they seemed to be unsure whether they should call it Project or Operation SWORD!

Very cool stuff! I love that it's the Anti Mysteron edition.
ReplyDeleteI know RP, the artwork and story are just so sparse it's great. No fluff or razzamatazz, bare and stark like the storyline. I'd love to see the next installment!
ReplyDeleteIf you don't mind a mixture of scans from originals and photocopies, then Toad can help (thanks to Shaqui). ^_^
ReplyDeleteThat would be SOOOOOO great PT! So kind of you and Shaqui! Absolutely brill. There's nothing like going back to the source to see what it was all meant to be about. I'm excited!
ReplyDeleteWell I can either post them to my photo gallery page by page, or send them on a CD. Which would you prefer?
