After Woodsys great post about the crane, I thought it timely to blog my latest acquisitions. I've picked up a couple of playsets along with various accessories and related toys. First off is the small Matchbox CAT Crane. Scaled to the standard diecast car, it has a working crane, liftable scenery and opening gate.
Next up is a Majorette Squad Forces Rocket Base, with tiny diecasts and plastic launchable rocket. Carpet Wars incarnate! The rocket is quite simple and designed to 'fly' at the press of a lever. Its very reminiscent of the old Marx army sets.
Along with the rocket base came a small fleet of diecasts, including a neat tank with firing cannon, an APC with triple rocket launcher...
Two pad based missile batteries and of course a troop of small soldiers, roughly scaled to the tank and a jeep.
Figures are under an inch high, but still poseable at the hips and shoulders.
Along with the Matchbox kit came a Mega Rig Space Buggy and Astronaut.
An Arctic Crawler with polar explorers.
Which breaks in two, making a separate tractor and ice walker. Also attended by a friendly Yeti!
Excellent stuff! I especially like that Rocket Base playset.
