One for the Toad! One of twenty or so frogmeisters residing in our wild pond. Just sat next to it watching this little fella watching me! Think he's a Tull fan as I'm listening to STAND UP!
Below are some pages from THE BOOK OF SPACE ADVENTURES 3 courtesy of today's boot sale. It's undated but looks early 1960's. There are no colour pictures except for ACE JORDON comic strips done in a rough crayony style. There's the ITHACUS we've seen before via WOTAN and a cool SST painting signed by one R.McQuarrie (a la Ralph) later of Star Wars fame. There's at least 3 SPACEX designs in these snaps. Answers on an e-card please [well, a comment will do]!

Anyone got book 1 and 2?
i must have heatstroke here woodmeister - I can see the lunar orbiter, but im missing the other spacex designs! Nice book though = Ace Jordan looks like a spanish strip to me...
ReplyDeleteAh! That's Trevor. He said great eyes in the sky were watching him - now it makes sense. Didn't realise he lived in your part of the world, Woodsy ^_^
ReplyDeleteThe NASA Glider is one of the other Spacex designs you had in mind, I think. But the third puzzles me too. Is it the Moonbase?
Trevor's fine today Toad. I showed him your comment and he said 'reddit'!
ReplyDeleteThe third and most elusive Spacex design was possibly never made as a toy but was advertised towards the end of the line - adverts which indeed you yourself sent me years back!
ha, ha - the old photonic propulsion space station - i suspected as much, but i thought the pic was a little too far off centre for me!
ReplyDeleteYou got it. Toad and you go to the top of the class!
