Tony's Kitsch Knights
Conan Can't Swing
Recently I was lucky enough to pick up Conan's 1993 plastic chromed armour for a few pence.
It was in a carrier bag containing his armoured horse, which I blogged last week.
Hoping to complete the horse and rider, I've dropped on a bargain Conan figure, which is battling it's way to me through the postal system as we speak. I think he even has pull-string swinging arm action!
The one thing I'm still missing is his sword. The above example is an auction shot.
How would you go about replacing the sword cheaply?

Update:
Taking up Kev's clever lolly stick idea I knocked up this prop sword ready for Conan's arrival and a few shots of him swinging his blade on his rearing charger.
Battle in a Box! The Triang Battle Game
Attracted by the fantastic box art, I noticed a very battered boxed example of this huge game in York this weekend,
The Battle Game by Triang.
This gorgeous example I found on Board Game Geek.
As big as a small suitcase, the beautiful box art continues on the box sides. I love those colour panels.
The game contents include card backgrounds, plastic soldiers and gun emplacements.

Not a game I ever saw as a young 'un, the box art reminds me of old war comic covers like Commando, Battle annuals and even Battle trading cards.
Is it a game you know readers? Do you have any war comics, annuals or cards?

BATTLESTAR GALACTICA ANNUAL AND FRIENDS
Rrrumblers Assemble!
My newly re-touched Rrrumblers have reunited with another I already had and a couple of my scratchbiulds.
They're off!
Rrrumblers Return
At Christmas my good friend Paul Vreede kindly gave me some old toys as a birthday gift
Among them were these lovely old re-painted childhood Rrrumblers.
With a Saturday afternoon free I thought I'd spruce these old Hot Wheels up a bit. I decided in most cases simply to re-glue some parts, re-touch the colours already used from childhood and re-chrome some of the metalwork.
It was a Rrreally fun to do and next I'll put them with a couple of others I have for their maiden Yorkshire tour later.
In the meantime here are the re-touched Rrrumblers. The third from the left just got cleaned, no painting - it just needs a rider, which I'm sure I have spare somewhere.
Hope you like them.
Have you any toy motorbikes?
