Here is the Aoshima Jumbo Ace, which I sent you pix of last year, but I changed the top color and the grill and got rid of that hokey radar array, and I think it looks a little better, although still very”generic.”

DRAB FAB: RESTORING PENELOPE'S ROLLER

I noticed the beat-up old Dinky FAB1 in this lot over at online Lancashire Auctions this weekend and thought, blimey, can something like that be returned to its former glory?

I used to replace the odd part on old FAB1's - maybe some new repro missiles and figures and a box - but nothing like this or these bad Ladies on You Tube!

CHINA'S TIN PASSENGER ROCKET

I saw this online and thought, wow!

Its a Passenger Rocket ST-1, tinplate and made in China. Sized 33 x 24 cm.

Its as sleek as they come and looks simply stunning.

Goggling it there appears to be a box variation too, which I prefer I think.

And this popped up too. Its not a Passenger Rocket but its a damn fine Jet Passenger Liner from China, the MF 212.

DO YOU DREAM ABOUT COLLECTABLES?

Dozing in bed this morning with the fog rolling in I was busy dreaming.

The dream was about going to a remote house with some out buildings. I went with a group of people I knew in the dream but don't now. Why we were there I can't say but it could have been to do some work. Anyways, I walked into a room and it was choc-full of big box VHS videos, my idea of treasure! They were piled high on a table and there was also a shelf, on which bagged video sets were stood. I think one was the old TV animation Trap Door. Just as I was totting up how much I would offer for the whole lot the owners walked in and went mad at me for the muddy boot-prints I'd left on the carpet. At that moment one of my group shouted for us all to return to the bus straight away and that was that. The dream ended with me trying to scramble up a steep bank full of flowers to get to the vehicle.

I woke up more or less straight away and I think that's why I can remember it, which is unusual for me. Not sure what it all means but I do like big box VHS videos!
