DID YOU DO CHORES AS A KID?

Did you have to do any jobs when you were a kid?

Maybe housework like taking out the rubbish or maybe even a paid job like a paper round?

I did a bit of work at the Cash 'n' Carry warehouse my Dad ran in the late Sixties and early Seventies. He paid me £100 - in theory - and taxed me £99! ha ha. I have the wageslip somewhere. I got £1.

HARRYHAUSEN'S MONSTERS SPOTTED IN NEW JERSEY

Hi Woodsy.

Here's some Harryhausen stuff by X Plus and Gentle Giant.

The boxed figures are 12 inch, the loose figures are 6 inch and the small dioramas are about 4 inches high.

Since you mentioned "Obie" recently, I threw in an X Plus King Kong in a very nice window box!

NEW HORROR FICTION: TALE THREE

I've written a third photo-horror tale for the Christmas-New Year season. 

Its called The Reaper's Jest.

Its number 3 in my monster cycle of tales about classic monsters. This one's the ghoul. Not for the squeamish.

Its longer and stronger than the last two so I've decided to post it on a new blog of mine for my horror fiction: The Gargoyle's Displeasure.

Moonbase isn't the place for it.

ROCKET TRANSPORTER 1

I picked up this little die-cast articulated truck in a Charity shop last week.

I immediately thought of a rocket transporter.

Here it is carrying an Apollo Moon Exploring capsule.

The box has a "C-globe" logo, the plane is marked Made in Hong Kong only with no item number.

I once sold one of these chubby batplanes for a friend. It was loose and I'm pretty sure it was made by AHI. These are normally marked on the base "DC Comics Inc, Azrak Hamway Int. Inc.,New York, NY 10010, Made in Hong Kong No# 0265".

I've not seen a boxed AHI version, just the window carded rack toy batplane , but that's not to say there isn't a boxed AHI.

Here's the rack toy courtesy of the Auctionhouse LLC archive.

There is definately confusion out there among collectors about the boxed version.

Ten years ago the Batcave Trophy Room were amazed to see the C on the box being listed as Corgi on Ebay.
