DAREDEVIL'S TELLY

I am thoroughly enjoying my free month on Netflix.

I signed up specifically to watch Stranger things, a Sci-Fi serial drenched in Eighties US kids culture much like ET and Super 8. It was excellent.

I then moved onto American Horror Story. I gave it five episodes of Series 1 and ditched it. I understand there are another 4 series! Please tell me that they vary the actors and location! I was bored silly by episode 5.

And so to my current Netflix series, Daredevil. I am well and truly hooked. I loved the Ben Affleck movie version and the series is made very much of the same stuff: gritty, tough, grueling and utterly hypnotic.

Do you watch anything on Netflix readers or perhaps another one of the pay-per-view channels like Now TV in the UK or HBO in the US?

How do You Communicate with Other Toy Collectors?

How do you communicate with other collectors readers?

There are many ways to do it nowadays. It used to be limited to swap meets and toy fairs and perhaps the small ads in the backs of magazines. Oh yes, conventions too. Maybe the odd old toy shop as well.

Now there's the Internet, ebay, Facebook, online fora, blog's. The list is endless.

So what do you do readers? Has the experience changed?

A FORCE OF NATURE

I noticed the box art on this Japanese space rifle on Ebay [pamclay1] had a Thunderbird 1 lookalike. then I noticed that there's a small jet at the side. Could this be a Probe Force 3?

Sticking with the PF3. this green japanese toy caught my eye. It does have similar lines and features to the Probe Force 3 too.

NEW LP AND APOLLO MOON EXPLORING BAGGIES

I saw this mixed lot on Ebay earlier in the year. I didn't bid but I was interested in the bagged Apollo Moon Exploring MLP and Capsules and some LP astronauts, which were all new to me. Note the original price tags.

I've included the full description in case your'e interested in the other stuff. Anyone got any of this lot?

1. Archer-type, large figures, hard plastic, 5 figures, 4 different, 2 helmets, unbroken.

2. Space Trooper Action Team, 6 Ajax figures, olefin plastic, glow in the dark with original box. C1977 Toy Box, American made.

3. Captain Video hard plastic figures, spaceman and robot, about 4 inches high, may be missing gun tip.

4. Party favor set – Manteca Hobby. Contains a 10 inch, 4 stage rocket, and two astronauts, 3 inches high. They are hard plastic with hand painted faces, and a polyethylene back pack. Sealed in original bag.

5. Space Divers, 2 Space Men, carded with bubble, robot and Batman-type, and astronaut and Batman-type, with fold up parachutes, made in Hong Kong, packages are good.

6. Card with gum ball machine prizes, 5 aliens and 4 space capsules. The cardboard base is oil saturated and deteriorating. The figures are about 2.5 inches high soft vinyl, fragile, and are in v.good condition. Capsules are polystyrene. These are probably from the 60s and are highly detailed. The plastic used to make them was highly plasticized and I wouldn’t think that there are many of these left around.

7. 4 pink & green aliens, 2 inches high (pink may not go with green)

(2 sets) Party favor set, orange and white capsule, moon lander, flag, and 2 astronauts, about 1 inch high.

8. 3 piece set – soft plastic, two space figures (yellow & pink) and a green saucer. 2 inch figures are marked Hong Kong, in new condition. Also, an astronaut with removable pieces.

9. (2 sets) Party Favor set Mr.Favor, bag and header, contains 5 IDL astronauts, hand painted. Bases marked IDL, USA

10. Party favor – rocket and orange transom on wheeled base, about 6 inches high (one wheel support is broken).
