Ever since I first saw this figure, Arto's rare Star Maidens Guard doll, I've been smitten.
So, recently seeing a toy mini American football helmet and some red Supergirl boots going cheap on eBay, I thought nows a good time to have a go at making my own Star Maidens doll.
As always, not a perfect replica, more of an impression.
See what you think.
Here she is, the Moonbase Maiden Guard
My Guard doll welcomes her brunette companion. Well done, Woodsy!
ReplyDeleteHa ha, thanks Arto. Two guards are better than one! Thanks for the original photos of your doll and it's .... Backing card! Watch this space.
DeleteWow. No one else on the planet would have thought of using an American football helmet for such a project. You are a toy genius.
ReplyDeleteThanks Paul but I can't take credit for the football helmet. The original dollmakers used them too!
DeleteBrilliant stuff, the amount of toys you've made recently is staggering! Bill
ReplyDeleteYou'll be the same when you retire Bill! and thanks!
DeleteA lovely but deadly companion to all your action-men! SFZ
ReplyDeleteYes SF! ha ha, a femme fatale in the mix. I expect flocked hair to fly and black eagle eyes in the toy cupboard!
