Not much charity toy action in Exeter but here's a few things.
Whilst looking for Action Man knitting patterns, I saw this old cardi knitting pamphlet. What's that big toy plane?
This Airfix Bismarck caught my eye.
I got these three comics on the way down in Tewkesbury. A squid each.
And given my current run on the gee gees I couldn't resist another Sindy horse, this time a white one, along with a very snazzy squirrel.
Anything you like here?
The plane is a Cox flying model of the Curtis SB2C (Scout Bomber or reconnaissance and dive bomber, 2nd type, by Curtis) Helldiver. A carrier-based dive bomber used by the US Navy in the latter stages of WW2. The model has a 20 inch wingspan. It was also released in dark green, with US Army markings, as the A-25 version.
ReplyDeleteWow, you IDd that model quick Paul. Thanks. It looks huge. Knitting pattern sheets are a fun source of old toy pictures!
