Me and the Missus were taken to Bygone Times this weekend by our friend Bill. Located in Lancashire, England, this venue is easily the biggest antiques emporium we've ever seen. Vintage toys galore along with thousands of collectables and retro in five linked warehouses, its a day out in itself!
Not doing justice in any way to sheer amount of stuff on sale, here are a few snaps I took to give you a taste. Enjoy!
Anyone any odea what the silver car and the white figure are at the back of this cabinet?
See anything you like?
I had no idea you visiting close by, it would have been nice to have met up, Woodsy.
ReplyDeleteWe were on a whistle-stop stop weekend tour seeing my Siblings and just managed to squeeze in a visit to Bygone Times. Next time we are over that way I'll be sure to keep you posted Scoop.
DeleteTom Baker, he's MY Dr Who! :-)
ReplyDeleteAh, he was great Baron, he was my second Doctor after John Pertwee. I have just watched another two episodes of the Sea Devils with Pertwee on BBC iPlayer. Great fun!
DeleteIt's good for my Credit Card Balance that I don't live near Bygone Times.
ReplyDeleteha ha, you could easily spend an entire day there Terranova47! So easy to spend money there!
DeleteFive warehouses ? I am in shock. How many of them were devoted to Doctor Who ?
ReplyDeleteYep, it's massive Paul. We only saw half of it. Ran out of time as we had to set off on our two hours drive home.
DeleteOnly one stall is Dr Who related, it's five warehouses of general antiques, books, clutter and tat. In between this are stalls with film and tv memorabilia and toys. A lot of the toys are priced at dealer level, or by using ebay prices, but there are plenty of bargain if you can take the time to sift through the cramped aisles. We only had an hour or two as Woodsy was in the way home to the dark side! Bill
