I'm always on the lookout for replacement Action Man equipment!
Made in Hong Kong for Hallmark of Kansas City, here's a bag of nifty plastic party picks that would sit well in Palitoy's Fighting Man's footlocker! A spade with a bayonet!
Can you think of any 'replacements' like this?
Perfect for my birthday party food today!! I don't have an action man alternative but when I was a kid I asked my mum to make a beret for my action man so she dutifully created one, I didn't ask how she was going to do it so what I received was a green crocheted hat that made it look like he had green curly hair, he was an action man clown!!!!
ReplyDeleteHa ha, love it Marky! A crochet beret! Catalogue Man! I love that. I bet the strands of wool stuck to his flocked hair!
DeleteMy friends often said my action man was flocked but I thought he was alright...
DeleteHa ha! It was a strange word back then yep. It is still now Marky! Surely there was a better word for Accy Man's hair!
DeleteWasn't it just called "realistic"?
DeleteTes, you're right. Real Hair. And the famous gripping hands!
DeleteAround this time of year, craft stores and locations like Dollar Tree, Big Lots etc will stock outdoor decorations like gnome gardens and such. Stuff changes year to year but I've seen 1/6 shovels and picks with wood handles and metal bits.
ReplyDeleteDo you collect Action figures and action dolls Lance?
