Here's a 1967 copy of a Spanish magazine called Triunfo [Triumph]. The cover shows a panel with Lady Penelope and Thunderbird 1 entitled Television Space Puppets.
Thunderbirds was a global phenomenon!
Did you see it outside the UK?

Yes, it screened in New Zealand in the 1960s. I saw Stingray, Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Joe 90, Secret Service, UFO, Space:1999, and finally Terrahawks. It was not until the 1990s that I saw Supercar.
ReplyDeleteYou've seen more than me Paul!
DeleteOf course! Thunderbirds was on weekday mornings on ABC out of New York, and for a short while on CBS also out of New York. And the feature Thunderbirds Are Go! came to the Kiddie Matinee no less than THREE times - all of which I attended, of course.
