For my recent 65th birthday, an old friend gave me this almost complete Vintage 1945 WWII Purina Vita-Brits Crispies ‘WONDERS OF MODERN AIRCRAFT’ Collector Cards book.
After a bit of Googling, I was able to locate images of the missing cards and with a lot of Photoshop work, print out some replacements to fill the gaps.
Complimenting Terranova47's recent Wings of Speed post, here they all are! The Vita-Brits! Enjoy!

Wow, what an amazing album and set of cards. A real treasure. I would say it was prepared a lot earlier than 1945, given the line up of aircraft. The single-engine Battle day bomber, twin-engined Blenheim and Hampden, and the 1930s Demon bi-plane being described as a fighting aircraft. Perhaps around 1940/41 or so ?
ReplyDeleteA great collection of aircraft. The Album is a gem, creating a book on aviation. Thank's for sharing. I just sent Woodsy another set of aircraft cards from the 40's, sadly no album.
ReplyDeleteThats a really nice 'period' piece. Are the Seagull and a couple of the pilots he repro cards? Apart from being a litle brighter, you would never know!
ReplyDeleteTheyre' great -didn't Purina end up making catfood?
