Is Firestorm something you know about readers?

Yes I have the Japanese DVDs from the early 2000s anime series that was made with Gerry as a producer. Also some of the small 'candy toy' vehicles made by Yujin . Though I think the Japanese producers just used the characters, designs and basic plot, paid Gerry some money and went and did their own thing!
ReplyDeleteCool vehicle designs by Anderson stalwarts Steve Begg and Steve Kyte.
Gerrys' son Jamie tried to get a new Ultramarionation (puppets and green screen so they could run and walk and the supporting rods rather than wires could be CG'd out) puppet version of this up and running a couple of years ago. This was closer to Gerry's original story idea. I and many fans contributed to the kickstarter for this and have the short pilot episode on DVD. The financial backing fell through so it's in development hell still. Sadly I doubt if it will ever go to series as I think kids these days prefer CGI animation to puppets.
Interesting Yorkie, its not a series or concept I recall at all. The designs remind me of that other animated Japanese series Thunderbirds 2089 I think it was called. Sorry to hear that Kickstarter didn't propel it into the mainstream. I wonder if many of these tin badge sets were made?
