I've often wondered what a Project SWORD toy pistol could have been like. You know, to go with those neat plastic badges that came with each toy.
There is actually a real toy one but Tarheel swiped it from Captain Scarlet.
Despite this toy being as scarce as a Unicorn race [thanks Rob G] I think we could do better.
What about a Japanese Zero-X Rifle like this Thunderbirds Are Go Flash Gun? How cool is that?
But maybe a better option would be a full play set like the sensational Gerry Anderson Starcruiser Mission Kit by Thomas Salter?
But maybe we need to go to the source. There were lots of pistols and rifles in the Project SWORD Annual in 1968.
What about this one?
But my persona favourite is a more modern rendition of the above by artist and blog reader Paul McCaffrey. Feast you eyes on this bad boy!
I can just see it made of plastic in a fine big Project SWORD box!
What do you think?
Belated happy birthday to the blog! And thanks a lot for giving my Project Sword illustration another airing!
