Hi,
Been sorting out a lot of my stuff for display in my, hopefully improved model room. Dug out this, which I've had for years. It is a Comet miniatures mini metal model of the Shado lunar module but with a rare gold-looking finish. Never seen another.
Anyway, it is getting its own little box frame.
Positive track,
Kevin
So I'm thinking, if you had no knowledge of the TV series UFO, and just saw this online, you'd probably think it was an ancient Egyption or Aztec pendant or other artifact.
ReplyDeleteAnyone else see that ?
I see what you mean. Now that I've got it in a box frame, it looks like an award!
ReplyDeleteIt's sort of 'scarab'y.
ReplyDeleteNow you need a Golden Astronaut to pilot it!
ReplyDeleteHa, ha! I may have one or two of those!
ReplyDeleteNice model. Some of these Comet miniatures were rather rough, but this looks very good.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Yep, it does look well finished. I heard it was a promotional piece but I don't know if that's true.
ReplyDeleteCracking little model there but got me wondering if anyone ever produced a kit form version (Airfix style) of the ship. Always had a soft spot for the model and the transporter which flew it up to the edge of the atmosphere.
ReplyDeleteI don't know of one. I scratchbuilt one years ago.
