I notice in the writing that the 60s/70s 'child of future' is called Alan (which is my actual first name).
ReplyDeleteWell it's the future now and NO boys are called Alan anymore.
Alan is like Albert would have been to us as kids back then (ie totally old fashioned).
I know what you mean Mish. Other names on the wane must be Colin, Norman and Nigel, like Alan all very common when I was a kid. Now its Kaden, Callum and Byron!
DeleteFunny - we've got TV's like that now, but the furniture (and the car design) have been and gone!
ReplyDeleteha ha, that's mixed-up futurism that Hugh! And the Booster Rocket was toy in the late Sixties!
DeleteThe Booster Rocket is from Dandridge Coles Mars Project: http://www.astronautix.com/graphics/g/gemars3tmi.jpg
