I saw these two old Century 21 Toys Project SWORD Task Force 2's on Worthpoint and thought I'd blog the image.
Its a good example of both the body colour variation and the base colour variation too.
The base can be red or white.
The body can be two shades of red, one darker than the other.
Which one have you got readers?
Neither, mine seems to be the more orange shade but with the white base.
ReplyDeleteInteresting Kev, there's always something else out there.
DeleteI boughted them 2 off ebay last june, mainly for use as spare parts, although the red one is probably repairable (just missing some spiky bits and one of the friction drive wheels), and also for that orange base.
ReplyDeleteSo I have 1 orange/orange, 1 orange/white, and 2 red/white.
If only I could find my childhood T2 (I keep having an occaisional rummage through stuff in my loft, to try finding it but I think it must have been thrown out in the 80's)- I remember it as more red than the orange ones and more orange than the red ones- an inbetweeny. I also remember the base as being greyer, and instead of being smooth with some 'rivets' pimples it was completely pimpleyated. (Honest! Would my brain lie to me?)
Anyways my only (and thats my childhood one) T1 is orange/orange (there was a red/red one on ebay last year that went for £90 (no box)). One of my T3's is orange/orange and one is red/white.
Gotta love a Taskforce...
Fascinating stuff Timmy. It would be interesting to see pics of your Task Force fleet if you'd like to see them on Moonbase!
