In the cauldron of tight-budget experimentation that is my toy bodging, I have been messing with stuff again.
Earlier in the summer the ever-kind Wotan gave me a Corgi Magnetron. It was chipped in a few places and the arm had pitted silver and was snapped off, but otherwise this exploration vehicle looked great.
In an attempt to remove the pitted silvering and create a finely graded finish on the arm, last night I soaked it in some de-scaler I found under the sink, normally used to clean kettle elements. In went the Magnetron arm and after leaving a note for my Missus the fizzing began! I shall keep you posted as to its progress.
Similarly I've been trying out different pen tips to use as inexpensive Batmobile windshield blisters. I've settled on chunky rainbow multi-pen, which I found in Junior's pen box.
Junior had just one and I ordered another one on the Bay as I need four half blisters. A few days later my second pen's arrived and here it is with the pen case tip unscrewed ready for Alfred and Dick to do their stuff on, whilst Bruce in dating Catwoman!
Are you bodging and scratching too readers?
Always bodging and scratching, it's what I do! Currently working on a life size Federation Security Robot from Blakes 7, it will take me ages!
