I saw these modern Trash Pack containers online. In fact I think my grandson has some as part of of his Gross-ery Gang pile of toys and figures made by Moose.
The little plastic trash cans remind me of an old line of plastic totem pole connectables.
You can see one at the bottom of this vending pack in yellow with the monster face. Dunno what they're called.
You know what the totems are readers?
Back when I were a kid, Kellogg's had a cereal premium called Totem Pole which was a series of stackable heads, very similar to the one in your photo.
ReplyDeleteThey were as I now know, the product of Australian plastics company Rosenhain & Lipmann or R&L, the people behind so many of our childhood Breakfast Cereal Gifts.
The example you show above is not an actual bootleg of an R&L Totem, but it is pretty obviously inspired by them.
You can see the full R&L series here...

The one on that card is a looky likey version of the R & L Totem Tribe, or Funny Ugly as they were known in Blighty. Gorgeous little things.
