What are yours readers?
How do you go about frying your tomatoes?Around here, thats popular at Summer's end, when we have an abundance of still-firm tomatoes about to go bad.We slice them thick, dip them in egg white, then roll them in cornmeal before they hit the pan.Sometimes we mix flour and water to make a batter, similar to Tempura.Whats your method?
ReplyDeleteNothing as complex I'm afraid Brian! I just slice the tomatoes any time of year and fry them in butter in a pan or sometimes when I'm feeling healthy I'll grill them. The same with mushrooms and bread! I like your tempura toms though! Yum! What's on the stove today?
