This is a beautiful build of an iconic vehicle - wow! I think one reason I've been holding onto the MSV kit for so long is because I don't want to mess up the paint job, cuz that ain't my strong suit! Can I ask what color(s) you used here? Looks like a very light gray, which is about right for authenticity. I was almost thinking of trying a gloss white on it, so that it would remind me of my beloved Dinky Toys MSV from way back when, but I never actually did that damage! Also, I think masking and painting those silver/chrome stripes will be tricky. Anyways, you did a brilliant job!!!
Thanks, I actually just used grey primer, which I weathered with pencil and sealed with spray lacquer. Most of the striping was done with tape, either chrome or car striping in red and black.
Nice work! I was always disappointed the MSV never appeared in an episode after the first one. There were other Captain Scarlet episodes where it would have been more useful than the SPV, which seemed to become a general Spectrum run about! Seeing more of it would have reminded us what a well equipped outfit Spectrum was!
Great MSV Kev. I like the muted colours of the vehicle and the lay-out. I adored my die-cast MSV as a kid. The gill wings and the crates were just hypnotically brill to mess with. I still see battered ones at car boots sales and am sorely tempted to get one once we get out of the house again!
