Inspired by an old Samurai model I liked called Night Attack by Ronin I thought I'd use the downtime to create my own homage.
Done in bright sunshine in the Moonbase Garden with two Action Men, I call it
"Daylight Attack by Ronin".
Go full screen and turn up the volume.
Enjoy!
What do you think?
That was neat, it certainly gets the story across. Good work.
ReplyDeleteThanks Paul. It was great fun to do on a sunny Easter Monday stuck in solitary confinement! I would have liked to also do a horseriding shot as well with a bow and arrow. What kevin called a Parthian shot. But, no toy horse in the toybox. I'll have to wait for a lockdown to end and find a toy horse big enough for an Action Man at a car boot sale, hopefully this summer. What season have you got now? And what time is it?
DeleteLove the movie Woodsy. Clever stylish editing ... but again, they're not really Action Men, now are they ?!
ReplyDeleteMish.
Thanks Mish. It was a blast. I am going a bit doolally cooped up so it was a relief to get stuck into something for an afternoon. As for Action Man, these modern guys are all Moonbase Junior has in his toy cupboard here. Gripping hands, Eagle Eyes and Flocked Hair weren't available. They were away filming a remake of the Three Musketeers. They're too fussy and demanding anyway and would break the piggy bank! Donations welcomed though!
DeleteFair enough Woodsy. Point taken.
ReplyDeleteMish.
Excellent stuff! Stop motion next! Whos the bird speakin on rhe sountrack?
ReplyDeleteIts a free download that Kodo music. I think she's saying the name of the download site. Not sure.
DeleteIt is the middle of autumn, 8:40am Wednesday, 15th April 2020 (just in case you have forgotten what year it is). NZ is now 11 hours ahead of Britain, Daylight Saving having ended recently, but when I first found MC it was 13 hours ahead. Are you on Daylight Saving yet ? Daylight Saving on/off is confusing.
ReplyDeleteI forget your'e in the future Paul! It's 8.58am Wednesday as I speak. How weird is that! Its 8pm in NZ! Blimey, its nearly Thursday for you! What's Autumn like there, cool and windy?
DeleteIt is getting colder now, and I am wearing more clothes. Once the shops open again I will have to get some winter clothes. Colder, windy, and some rain. Parts of NZ have been short of rain for a long time, but nowhere near as bad as Australia. I know what you mean, time is weird. For you, the day is just starting, while for me it will soon be time for bed. We can send emails back and forth in seconds, rather than the months it once took a sailing ship to travel half way around the world.
ReplyDeleteIt'll be Tuesday in NZ Paul! Still Monday here, 4.15pm, late afternoon. Your PM is on the UK news regularly. Looks like she's doing a good job!
DeleteEy up Woodsy, your such a toy geek, but I love it. Would like to see them with a Samurai type haircut.....maybe Birgit could sew some little hair pieces for them?
ReplyDeleteI have some 2m decorating poles so when all this lockdown is over, I'm gonna come over and kick your butt and make up for the times you used to get me and my brother in your dojo, when we were about 6yrs old, trying your latest Kung Fu moves and beating the crap out of us. Just you wait.....I'm gonna rescue those victimised action men and watch you cry!!!!
That Jonny
ha ha! Glad you liked it Jonny! As for beating me up, I shall be waiting at the top of a large pagoda with my strongest pole. For you I may begin with Drunken Monkey style and finish you off with some Filipino Escrima, skills I learnt pummeling two young nephews in my cellar dojo circa 1973! Great times! Stay safe Dudz!
