After watching all those disaster movies as a kid I never thought I'd actually be isolated in my home.
The UK isn't yet on lockdown but it may happen soon. Me and the Missus are self-isolating anyway. We just go out for her odd post knee-op hospital appointments as part of her recovery.
I will have to get some more milk and dog food too soon as well but don't relish going into shops at all.
Its suddenly become a scary world to be in.
Are in you in lockdown already in your country? How are you coping with isolation readers?
We are keeping in as much as possible (walking the dog, shopping for food and nothing else). So far, shops have been fine, surprisingly. Not short of things to do thankfully.
ReplyDeleteTake Care Kev. I wonder what Boris will say today? Lockdown?
DeleteIn NZ we have two days in what is called Alert Level 3, before going into Level 4 on Wednesday, which is basically lock-down. The supermarkets and other essentials will still be open. I was sent home from work today, did not even do the full day. You see things like this on the TV news, happening in other countries, not in New Zealand, which now has 102 cases. At least a month at home. Still slightly in shock. Should hear tomorrow from my bosses what is happening, once they have a clearer idea themselves. Fortunately, I work for a really good company. Being a modeller and collector I have my hobbies, writing, and old movies to keep me occupied. People without hobbies will likely suffer more than those who have an interest to absorb them. Take care everyone.
ReplyDeleteShock, yes Paul. I agree. I'm in shock too as its happening so fast. I expect lockdown here in the UK soon like yours in NZ. Too many people flouting the rules. Take care and hunker down with your models. Maybe write another book!
