This was fun.
My take on the SpaceX Nuclear Ferry toy.
It was a lot easier than the MOLAB and having the real toy helped a lot getting the feel of the Ferry.
The main body came in the form of an old metallic red metal torch.
The nose is a blue game counter and the engines are small rubber lugs from the local scrap-store
The rear wheels are drawing pins.
The front cab is a red miniature of the Star Wars Imperial Cruiser with its snout cut off and tail fins added.
It was a lot of fun getting on board this little Nuclear Ferry.
Hope you like it.
Great to see Woodsy! Makes a great addition to your DIY SpaceX fleet. There are never too many Nuclear Ferries around :)
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Arto. Its a nice thing to make especially if you have a red metal torch or a pen!
DeleteI am glad to see that Volvo is still a viable corporation in the distant future!Much like Husquevarna, they haven't changed their basic vehicle design much. Why mess with a good thing? ;)
ReplyDeleteha ha, yep, Volvo is an essential part of the Moonbase Nuclear Ferry programme Brian!
DeleteAnother good'un! And to scale too, which is impressive.
ReplyDeleteThe Woodsy Spacecraft Yards have been working overtime again, because that was quick!

Thanks Paul. Having the right colour torch helped a lot. I was going to add a mini jet to the front as on the original but thought better of it and stopped whilst the going was good!
DeleteLooks like you had great fun photographing this, Woodsy. That's what it's all about. I like it :)
ReplyDeleteTa Tone. It was fun to make and yep, fun to photograph. the Grandson's blue nightlight comes in handy a lot!
DeleteLove these! I'm relegated to buying space toys as my modeling time is nil but then, so us my talent lol
ReplyDeleteThanks Ed. I'm the reverse, I can't afford to buy space toys these days but I have a lot of junk and lots of superglue!
