Yet another Action Man GI Joe cover from Curtis Books! They really made our plastic spaceman work for his oxygen that day. This is the 4th cover and we haven't finished yet!
Is that a different pose to the other covers I see?
Yep, its all in there Tone. Just Glastonbury Tor and Silbery Hill missing! ha ha. That's what I loved about the Seventies, the popularity of the mystic and the mystical in youth culture. All culture really - in Blighty. It was infused into the everyday. I absorbed it all and now re-light that joss stick whenever I need to in this digital non-mystical world.
'... where no man had ever gone before...' Got a familiar ring to it, hey Woodsy, ha ha.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't the title have a bit of a Von Daniken thing going on as well?
Yes, that Palitoy/Hasbro lone spaceman was a heck of a good investment for Curtis :)
