Network released this as one of the extras on their 'Space Patrol' DVD. Another extra included was the pilot epsiode of 'Paul Starr'. I thought both were great fun. Both use parts of model spaceships from the 'Space Patrol' puppet series as they were all made by the same production company. I think it's a shame Solarnauts wasn't picked up as I think it could have been a 60s British equivalent to Lost in Space. Bright colours, cool music, pop art space adventure!
Oh and Martine Beswick (Thunderball and From Russia with Love) was in it too. Even Jan Leeming (the BBC newsreader) had a small part in it when she was a young actress.
I briefly covered The Solarnauts, Paul Starr, Space Patrol and others in my blog post on my obituary on Roberta Leigh in 2014 http://projectswordtoys.blogspot.co.uk/2014/12/roberta-leigh.html
