I love Quatermass and have just found this cool site dedicated to the TV series and the films. If you quater with the masses then maybe have a gander here: Ringstone Round.
Really like the TV version of Quatermass and the Pit. Its an example of how the BBC used to depend on strong storylines rather than special effects, and I think the 1950s setting now adds to its sense of unease. And the space ship in the pit is an extraordinarily modern looking shape.
I shall be re-watching the TV versions Andy as the year progresses. I was too young to see them first time round on the telly but have seen them since. Ever since childhood the word Quatermass has always made me think of towering heaps of alien ooze. I winder of there are any vintage collectables?
