I received this email this week from a Portuguese reader. I have been able to identify part of the mystery lot but not all. Can you help readers?
First of all, big fan of your moonbase central project. Great info, and memories. As far as my email goes, after a long time searching for info on these images I´m attaching, I decided to send to you in case you could shed some light on the subject. I live in Portugal, so these may be portuguese, spanish, british or even russian. But I have no clue. Again, thumbs up, amazing blog... and, hopefully I´ll hear from you! Thank you.

Woodsy replies: Hi Miguel, glad you like Moonbase Central. The two figures and rocket above are from the Spanish Airgam Apolo Set pictured here I think, although the figure with the coat could be from another Thunderbirds set by Comansi. Can an MC reader identify that figure more precisely?
There's even an old Spanish advert on You Tube
TOYS STILL NEEDING IDENTIFICATION.
Anyone?
The horse comes with robot cowboys and cowgirls, can't remember (or don't know) the/a make, but they were mid-late 1980's header-carded rack toys.
ReplyDeleteI've got the pencil-top alligator-man...He-Man/Masters of the Universe?

Cheers Hugh. I thought the Lizard Man might be MOTU inspired too. He reminds me of the Gorn who scraps with Kirk in Arena. The horse is strange, it does look robotic. Bravestarr?
ReplyDeleteYes Woddsy...Bravestarr rings a bell! Google....not much help...I think 'Bravestarr knock-offs' is the phraseology required here!
