But one thing I've noted at this event is that some guests (none that I went to see, I hasten to add) are charging double the amount for just an ordinary autograph, which in my book is just a straightforward rip off. But, if that's what some people are prepared to pay, who am I to argue.
Thankfully, I'm not really a collector of autographs, but I do feel for those that are. I do like meeting and having a brief chat with my favourites, and admit to having the odd autograph myself, which I mainly got for free at the excellent Cult TV festivals from a few years ago, which guaranteed at least one free autograph from any attending guest.
These days its rare for me to pay for something that was once expected by the starstruck autograph hunter from a grateful celebrity who you'd made a star!
Sounds like they need you on the organising committee Scoop! Could they take a leaf out of Andercin's or Cosforth's books? By the way, is that a beard I see on your chops?
ReplyDeleteIf I were involved there'd be even more chaos, Woodsy. and yes, that's my designer stubble!
