WAR OF THE DALEKS BY DENYS FISHER

Taking a step back from the new Doctor Who, here's some photos of the Denys Fisher War of the Daleks game which came out during the mid seventies.

I must admit I've never played it but I do like the artwork on the side of the playing board which show the infamous Denys Fisher red top Dalek.

The silver and gold  Dalek playing pieces are nice too and fairly collectable on their own.

Denys Fisher also  brought out a highly collectable friction drive Dalek figure as one of  a set of separate Doctor Who action figures, which included a Tom Baker doll with the face of Gareth Hunt!. The Dalek, however was fairly accurate for its time and these days is incredible rare.

The War of the Daleks game and its collectable playing pieces, however do turn up all the time on fleabay. mostly for sensible prices so it's perfectly possible to get a slice of 70's Doctor Who merchandise without breaking the bank.
