I remember getting a lot of Easter eggs at Easter back in the Sixties: cardboard clocks, big cups and a plastic truck all with a big foil-wrapped egg packaged in cellophane. I don't remember getting any other prezzies though like at Christmas like space toys or action men.
Did you get Easter presents readers?
Yup, my mother started turning Easter into a mini-Christmas but with far less toys (usually just one or two small ones). It was fun. I get a kick out of walking down the store aisles today loaded with ready-made Easter baskets made from genuine plastic and crammed full of cheap Chinese toys and nasty tasting candy - I almost bought a couple LOL
