Like Wotan I recently had a nifty gift from our good friend Captain Harlet; a small fleet of Japanese miniature SPV's and MSV's [and a lovely LEM toy too].
So, being fresh from the zest of receiving these delicious Scarlectables, I was pleasantly surprised to find these die-cast Dinky versions in an antiques shop's glass cabinet in the local hill country .
We have the SPV above, priced £15 and below, the James Bond Moon Buggy, UFO Mobile, UFO Interceptor and MSV all priced £23 each. Loose of course.
Being a Yorkshireman my wallet is permanently stitched up so the toys remained where they were. Still, I enjoyed peering and breathing on the glass! Are there any decent vintage toys in junk shops near you and has anyone got these Dinky toys readers?
I've got all of the Anderson Dinkys, a couple of them are the ones I had as a child.
ReplyDeleteFor me, the Dinky MSV is a holy grail type of item. There's an antiques shoppe in Prescott, Az. that had more than a few Dinky diecasts last year. Haven't been up there this year though, unfortunately.
