Paul,
I think we corresponded awhile back - you are the guy with the amazing Project Sword page, correct?
I am continually amazed at the stuff you find, and the connection between Japan SF models and the Project Sword Toy seres. You turned me on to the "toy" versions of Astro-Car, Super-Beetle, etc. And I did not know that the Nichimo Moon Ranger model was also a Sword toy.
I bought that Character Age magazine you mention on your blog, and man are some of those photographs priceless! My goal is to someday get up a database of "Golden Age" Japan SF models ('60-'69) with pix and anything else I can find.
Would you mind if I borrowed some of the photos from your blog for this project? Like those great pix of Nichimo King Shark, for instance.
I would also be happy to put a link or banner to your site on JSFM.
At any rate, keep up the great work - it is a real education reading your site!
Rob

Hey no probs Rob, just credit the blog! Thanks for the thumbs-up! It's a team effort largely the result of the fab contributions we recieve from our super-knowledgeable readers. Have loved your site for years too! Woodsy and Wotan
Thanks Paul!
ReplyDeleteI am currently building the Bandai O-Testor 4, a big tub of an airship with very "familiar" jet engines and swept-back wings. Imagine if Thunderbird 2 and Zero-X had a kid...
Anyways, Meddings' influence is all over this early 70s SF knock-off. I will send you pix if the paint job comes out decent.
