You're Quizmaster tonight is Andy B. Can you answer his arty questions?
1. Who designed the poster for the Gerry Anderson film Thunderbird 6?
2. Name the artist who took over Captain Condor from Ron Forbes in Lion comic in the 1960s?
3. What strip is he better known for illustrating?
4. Name the artist who created “Space Ace” in Lone Star comic and went on to do occasional work for TV21?
5. Which TV21 strip cartoon artist went on to illustrate work at the Prehistoric and Romano British Department of the British Museum?
Please send your answers to me HERE including your name. The first full and correct set of five answers numbered 1 to 5 will win. Closing date 12 Midnight GMT Friday 18th February. The winner will receive from me the miniature resin Salvage Ship pictured below [it's about that size], unpainted for your own artistry [here's one I painted in 2009], as inspired by Eric Eden's TV21 GK-10 as it appeared in his Fireball XL5 comic strip shown below. This in turn inspired Triang's rare Spacex Salvage Craft toy pictured at the very bottom. Get to it! Excelsior!
Resin model donated by Velbor.
The Judges' [Andy B and me] decision will be final. No discussions will be entered into.

ReplyDeleteHmmm, seems a bit odd to post entries in public view. Competition over days before the closing date!

(nods) I agree, Sean. I suppose it does solve the "who got there first" problem. But somehow (for me) it kinda spoils things.
ReplyDeleteBut it is just for fun ... well, fun and a very nice miniature ^_^
