STAR FEATURE:
I imagine modern SWORD toy boxes to have video pictures. There's a brilliant vintage NASA animation on YouTube of the Dyna-Soar, which would look great playing on the box top! My IT skills don't stretch that far so I've put the link just below the box. [Anyone actually know how to insert YouTube clips into images?]
That's a great video. Did you read the description below it, there is a link to this book, "Dyna-Soar: Hypersonic Strategic Weapons System: Apogee Books Space Series 35" on Amazon.

It's a fabulous book too, stuffed with info and pictures like the similarly cool 'Lunar Exploration Scrapbook' both written and published by our very own Darth from Canada. I have them both and can thoroughly recommend them.
ReplyDeleteI often wonder why Taheel didn't produce an American version of the SWORD Dyna-Soar toy? It strikes me as probably THE most evocative of all the NASA designs used in the range? Then again there are hardly any Dyna-Soar toys from the Sixties and Seventies, just a couple of kits. Why?
