Just googling tonight a while. Can't do anything serious yet after yesterday. Found some toys and models on the web that may be of interest. There is also a fabulous picture of the ZERO X MARS EXPLORER KIT re-issue on this site http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10058934 If TARHEEL had made a ZERO X I reckon the box would have looked like the Mars Explorer photo box!

The author of the truly encyclopeadic Gerry Anderson Memorabilia Guide published in the early 1990's, I corresponded with Dennis many years ago about Project Sword.

Does anybody know how to contact Dennis these days?

JR21 STINGRAY NUCLEAR AIRCRAFT CARRIER - DOES IT EXIST?

Ten years ago I corresponded with the curator of the online Stingray Memorabilia Museum. He believed that JR21 had produced a Nuclear Aircraft Carrier like the one that appears in the first Stingray Annual. He thought he had a photograph of the toy but couldn't find it.

Can anyone else verify the existence of this toy - JR21 or otherwise or at least email a picture of the said Aircraft Carrier from the Stingray annual?

I am unable to locate the online Stingray Museum these days. Seems to be off-line?

MOONSHIP MELTDOWN!

X60 SPACE ROCKET LAUNCHER - JR21 AND UNBRANDED

Here we have the JR21 version of this very - SWORDESQUE toy covered previously on the blog - top picture. BUT we also have, with kind permission from Anthoni Emchowicz, a fabulous shot of the 1960's UNBRANDED x60 made in Hong Kong. Notice the similarity of the 2 logos in the 2 pictures. Can we assume that JR21 copied/ re- marketed the unbranded toy? NB. the D3 refers to the Desriability rating in Anthoni's wonderful wonderful book FUTURE TOYS ( published by New Cavendish Books)- 1 being the lowest, 8 the highest.
