I was never really into collecting toys by Comansi and this one lone header bag of toys was sold off years ago.

Fortunately, I still have the photos. Fess Parker was awesome as Davy Crockett and I remember watching him on Disney's TV show back in the '50s. Later he would star in the TV show 'Daniel Boone' which I remember as well.

(Do you remember him as the hapless pilot incarcerated at the sanitarium in 'Them'?)

Action Man Footballer: Leeds United

 Looking at the three fingered white glove I had left I suddenly had a eureka moment.

Why not make the glove into a shirt!

So here's Lanard in his more or less Leeds United strip, the local team.

I'm quite chuffed for a night's messing.

Waddaya reckon?

If I find him a red shirt he'll dress up as George Best.

Action Man Footballer: The Kick Off

 My latest Action Man Project is a bit simpler than the Deep Sea Diver.

It's the Footballer.

I'm pretty sure I had this outfit as a kid but really fancied a crack at making it at home this time round.

My stuff gathered, I set to work.

I cut down some modern AM boots to footy shoe size and made socks from some old white glove fingers. The ball was in my bits box.

The Missus's mobile scrapstore provided some fake grass and an old box became the base.

The bits box supplied parts for a stand.

And Mr. Remington helped out 'mowing' the lawn!

Match ready!

The finished stand slotted nicely into the grass base.

My figure, Lanard, couldn't wait to show off his ball skills!

It's not all over.

Early American SF TV Shows

Here is another interesting video from You Tube. A look at very early American science fiction TV shows, covering the decade 1949-59.

While I had heard most, there are a few that were new to me. Just under 20 minutes, and full of vintage film clips.

Many of these early shows were broadcast live, and were only 15 to 30 minutes per episode.

JACK DAVIS CARDS AND BOX: TERRANOVA'S PERSONAL COLLECTION

Here's the box Valentine cards were sold in which contains my cards from the 50's & 60's.

I kept it because I was never sure who drew the illustrations. I thought it was Jack Davis at the time and it wasn't until the current exhibit that I knew for sure.

ED'S NEW KNOCKOFF CRICKET

I managed to score this nice little knock-off of the Spacex Cricket. 

After looking at Paul V.'s SpaceX toys website it appears to be from an unknown manufacturer. My sample is missing the grill, one hubcap, and the gun mechanism has been glued in place but it's still a nice little piece.

 The photo editing gave it a more yellowish hue than it has up close and personal. It's more of a cream color with yellow mixed.
