It was a few years ago, but seems ages, that I went to a toyfair at Doncaster Racecourse with Scoop and Woodsy. It was a massive venue with stalls laden with cars, trains, spaceships and planes. In amongst the junk boxes of cheap toys was this little Corgi Minissima. Made from 1975 to 1979, Model 288 was a 1/36 scale model with Whizzwheels and an opening door. The one I found had clearly not been owned by a careful driver, as two of the windows were shattered and the paintwork was roughed up.
So, today I finally got round to doing something with it. After drilling out 6 rivets holding it together, I stripped it back abd resprayed it. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of leaving it in the garage to dry and besides picking up some dust, it didn't cure well and needed to be touched up.
The windows were replaced with some sheet polythene from a toy package.
A nice little model which would sit well with a Corgi Bond Bug and the Heinkel Bubble Car.
